Since Nicole posted some pics on her facebook, I figured I'd get a blog update posted as well. Life's going pretty well for the Chilis in Westerville. The past month was pretty busy for all of us. I had two different regional worship events to coordinate (Feb 6&7 and March 6&7) and am glad those are over! Nicole's parents came down to visit during the first weekend. Then she headed up to Erie, PA the last weekend of February to help her brothers (the last two!) move out of her parents house and into their apartment. Unfortunately, on Sunday morning both she and Reese woke up with the FLU! Ugh! So they ended up staying a few extra days to get over it and attempt to not bring the bug back with them. Well, that didn't work completely. On Friday March 6th, (the first day of the Worship Summit) I woke up with the Erie feeling! Luckily I had some great folks helping me with the weekend. I ended up leaving both Friday and Saturday's events early. But that's all past now! So as Nicole and Reese are at our friend,
Erin's, Baby Shower I'm getting some things done around here.
Now, for what you've all been waiting for, THE REESE UPDATE:

Reese has been having quite the fun life. She is enjoying sitting up and playing with her toys. That is usually where you find her first thing in the morning, and then after her afternoon nap. She still hasn't figured out how to crawl, and get's quite frustrated! She knows that there's something that she has to do with her hands, but doesn't quite know what. But she has become a good roller and scooter. We often look away for a minute and look back and she's positioned herself under the coffee table or in Lucy's lap. So while we can't wait until she does crawl, we are anticipating it with a certain measure of dread! (One of my projects today is to install the swinging gate at our steps!)

She definitely enjoys jumping and standing and dancing. We just know that once she becomes truly mobile, she's going to be a handful. Mom & Dad, if Matt, Ben and I were even half this crazy, I'm sorry! Seriously, she's loads of fun and just wants to play, play, play! It's 100% or 0% with her!
It's about time to lower her crib mattress as well, because we're convinced that one day soon she'll be standing up to greet us in the morning!

Her enthusiasm has extended to her bathtime. Reese loves playing with her toys and splashing in the water. Now we have to keep an eye on her, not because she'll lose ballance and fall, but because she throws her toys out of her little tub and then tries to reach over the edge to get them, usually without any regard to how close her face gets to the water! We're thinking of doing swim lessons with her, but haven't taken the plunge yet!

Reese is still being a little squirt when it comes to eating. As you may remember, getting her to drink her milk has always been fun. But she has become a champ at eating solids! She loves anything we spoon her and has begun chomping on some exciting food! Here she is enjoying her first taste of pancakes during our Saturday morning traditional breakfast.
